Do power rake blades work?

Specialized dethatching blades made for lawn mowers can be moderately effective at removing thatch if used properly. They damage healthy grass. A power rake is much more effective at removing thatch than lawn mower blades.

Are Gator blades better than high lift blades?

Unlike other mulching blades that push the grass down, the high lift on a gator blade draws the grass up which in turn gives you a clean, even cut. We do recommend a mulching kit for a single blade deck however, you will still see a much better mulching result with a Gator Blade with out the attachment.

Are Copperhead mower blades any good?

They fit just fine and really cut the grass nicely. They were easy to install and do a nice job of mulching the grass into smaller pieces. If you’re looking for replacement blades for your D105 or like, these will work fine and do the job. I will be buying them again when these wear out.

Are Gator blades worth the money?

They seem to do a somewhat better job than the standard mulching blade. In fact, they work as good as the hi-lift bagging blades so I can mulch and bag with one blade. the clippings themselves do cut more finely, but I still get clumps of grass at times, and yes I drive slowly over the grass.
